Sarah Belson
Sarah Belson has over 25 years’ experience of working in health, social care and community development in Europe, South East Asia and sub Saharan Africa. Since 2015 Sarah has worked with the Stroke Association UK and the World Stroke Organization. Her work includes supporting the development of a global network of stroke support organizations, coordinating capacity strengthening activities and facilitating the meaningful involvement of people affected by stroke in research collaborations and policy consultations. Sarah is the interim Chair of the Welsh charity Re-Live. Re-Live’s mission is to enable transformational improvements in people's health and wellbeing through a Life Story Arts process. Sarah holds an MSc in International Development Studies, University of London and is currently a PhD student at Brunel University London undertaking narrative inquiry research with survivors of stroke in a community setting in Kumasi, Ghana.
